Europe Day 4: Sunday, May 13
7:40 am We woke up early to pack up for the cruise today!!
Dr. Radford was kind enough to take and transport all our luggage to the port. This Sunday morning, we attended a Catholic service. Of course, I got in "trouble" there. I was stopped by the guard because I had a camera and it was a little scary—I'm so glad Yani was there to explain! The service was definitely different from what I'm used to; it was very somber and serious with the cathedral's dim lights, candles, and dark statues.
We went to a gift shop across the church and another one nearby. There was a beautiful box there with cookies inside (lol) but it was for 13 Euros. (I'm still looking for the perfect espadrilles.) We had lunch at McDonald's (2nd time) and we're now finally on the ship!!!
Upon arrival, Macey, Yani, and I decided to explore. When we didn't find the buffet at first, we were a little disappointed by the food options. At 7:00 pm, we had a devotional, since our church visit this morning was just for observation. We wanted to be reminded of God's goodness and true worship.
8:00 pm Onboard Welcoming Show
The ship captains introduced themselves and Andre, the British host, introduced the opening act. We left early since we hadn't had dinner yet. After eating at the Garden Cafe, the buffet, we went to the Atrium Cafe to watch The Proposal, which was hilarious! It's currently 1:11 am and I need to sleep. The ship is rocking back and forth. I'm sleeping on the top bunk this time which is fun! I'm surprised to find a lot of Filipinos here. It's making me miss the Philippines!
Tomorrow is our free day on the cruise.
