Seth & Courtny | Wedding
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
I'm just stopping by on this beautiful day of remembrance, worship, and family to finally blog about Seth and Courtny's wedding! It's long overdue, but college has honestly kept me on my toes. It really amazes me how God keeps on giving me these little (and huge) side opportunities to bring joy to others—in actuality, the people I meet and interact with are the ones giving me joy!! I couldn't imagine just sitting at my desk and doing homework allll the time. My best friend Lindsey teases me that I'm a big community gal and I really am! No matter how awkward I can be, I really do love meeting people and searching for commonalities, so these photoshoots are a treat!
Anyway, let's flash back to Seth and Courtny's wedding day at Morningside. It was cold and gray, but no one even really noticed besides a few shivers (I ended up bringing handwarmers for everyone and that helped!). My vision for Seth and Courtny's farmhouse themed wedding day was all outdoors surrounded by white picket fences, but with the rain, we had to move on to Plan B. The day went smoothly with my second shooter's help (thanks, Steve), and we even got to eat some really yummy lemon cupcakes!!
I'm super grateful to Seth and Courtny for allowing me to capture their special day! It was really cool how God connected us three; I actually reached out to the camp Courtny worked at last summer without knowing she worked there (and that's where she met Seth). I ended up not applying for that camp but I did apply and get accepted to the camp where Courtny's sister is working at this coming summer! I also ended up sitting by Courtny's brother in Accounting all last semester, so her huge family approached me with already familiar faces! It was also neat to share some things with Seth; he had visited the Philippines when he was a teenager and is also a pastor's kid! Oh, and guess one last thing!! Seth is cousins with Katy Tabor (now Oates) who was my first ever bride! Katy's sister recognized me in the lobby and her words of encouragement and affirmation really helped me throughout the day (weddings are intimidating)—it could've made me cry on the spot!
Love how this gallery turned out and I cannot wait for my two weddings before camp in May!!
